Rapunzel from the Grimm's Fairytales

I. Summary

The story title is Rapunzel, it is Grimm's children's story. Starting this story, one day one's husband was steal a she devil's a seed for his a pregnant woman, a she devil got angry, she robbed they's a baby.

物語はラプンツェルというグリム童話です。ある日、夫が妊婦の妻のために魔女の庭のラプンツェルという野菜を盗んでしまい、そのことに怒った魔女が彼らの子を奪った所から物語は始まります。

II. Reaction

1. Character

* Rapunzel. She is a princess with a very long and beautiful hair. She was locked up in a tower by a she devil for immediate  she was born.
                 
ラプンツェルはとても長く、美しい髪を持ったお姫様です。彼女は生まれてすぐに魔女によって塔の中に閉じ込められました。

* A she devil.  魔女

* A prince. One day, he running into Rapunzel, those two are loving keep it a secret from a  she devil , and when she was pregnant, a she devil found out it, those two broke up. So it is came as a great shock to him, he lose one's sight.

王子はある日ラプンツェルと出会い、魔女には内緒で二人は愛し合いました、そして彼女が妊娠したとき魔女にみつかり、二人は別れました。そしてそのことにショックを受けた王子は視力を失ってしまいました。

2. Denouement
The story come to a happy ending that a prince met Rapunzel and they's children again after 7 years ago, and recovery his sight.

王子は７年後ラプンツェルと双子と再会し、視力も回復し、物語は幸せな結末を迎えます。

3. Anti-hero A she devil
Although [Rapunzel] is come to a happy ending , but I think she has not a happy life that live her lives at mercy of a she devil since she was born.

ハッピーエンドではありますが生まれてからずっと魔女に翻弄され続けた人生は決して幸せなものではなかったと思います。

III. General Opinion
I read this story, Although I find Rapunzel feel, a prince feel, even Rapunzel's father, mother feel, I was not find a she devil's feel. I want to story that written a she devil's position.

物語を読んで、ラプンツェルの気持ち、王子の気持ち、ラプンツェルの父の母の気持ちさえ何となくわかったのに、魔女の気持ちだけは分かりません。魔女の立場で綴られた物語が読んでみたいです。

The Nightingale & the Rose by Oscar Wildes

I. Summary
In this story title 'Nightingale' is a kind of a small bird. The small bird is chirping sweet songs every evening, but she didn't know them. That small bird know it, one day a boy is grieve over that he said [She said that she would dance with me if I brought a red rose...], "Here at last is a true love!". The boy could not  red roses, also he have not money for bought red roses. So, it saw the small bird decided to struggle for search for red roses. She looked in around at last, the small bird finally made it to the red roses tree, but the roses is already died. The small bird cried as she is question the tree said, [You must build it out of music by moonlight, and stain it with your own heart's blood. You must sing to me, and the thorn must pierce your heart, and your life blood must flew into my veins, and become mine.]. The small bird said, [Yet Love is better than Life, and what is the heart of a bird compared to the heart of man?], so she pressing own heart. So a red rose were in bloom, when a boy hope the boy become to devoted true love, as she died. The boy is found a red rose, he is surprised, and happily head for her. But she said, [I am afraid it will not go with my dress, and beside, the Chamberlain's nephew has sent me real jewels, and everybody knows that jewel cost far more than flowers.], the boy is angry, and said, [What a silly thing Love is.].

この物語の題名にある「ナイチンゲール」とは、小鳥の一種です。小鳥は、毎晩美しい愛の歌をさえずっていましたが、愛とは一体どんなものなのか知りませんでした。ある日一人の青年が、「赤いバラさえ手に入れば、彼女と一緒に踊れるのに…」と悲しみに暮れているところを見た小鳥は、これこそがずっと自分が歌っていた本当の愛だ!と知りました。青年は赤いバラを見つけることができず、バラを買える程のお金も持っていませんでした。そこで小鳥は赤いバラを探し出す決意をします。探し回り、ようやく赤いバラの木の元へ辿り着いたとき、しかし既にバラは枯れてしまっていました。小鳥が泣きながらバラを咲かせる方法を木に聞くと、「赤いバラが欲しいなら、月の光る夜に、歌いながら、トゲを心臓に刺して。あなたの歌が花を咲かせ、あなたの血が花を染め、一本の赤いバラができる。」と言いました。小鳥は「愛は命より尊いものだ、それに、小鳥の心臓なんて人間と比べたらどれほどの価値がある?」と自ら心臓にトゲを刺します。そして一輪の赤いバラが咲く頃、小鳥は青年が本当の恋人になることを願いながら死にました。赤いバラを見つけた青年は驚き、喜んで彼女のところへ行きました。しかし彼女は「それは私のドレスには似合わない、花よりも宝石の方が価値があるなんてことは誰でも知ってるわ。」と言い放ち、腹が立った青年はバラを投げ捨て「愛とはなんて馬鹿げたものなんだろう。」と言います。

II. Reaction
１. Protagonist
In this story, there is only a small bird know a true love. A small bird hope to started him and her relationship even her life sacrificed.

この物語で本当の愛を知っていたのはナイチンゲールだけでした。彼女は自分の命を犠牲にしてまでも、青年と彼女が結ばれることを願っていました。

2. Fatal flaw
I think each the characters has the Fatal Flaw. A small bird died a martyr to the cause of a red rose, and love. She and a boy was not understand the beauty of a red rose. So, I think the cause of the story made miserable such a difference of one' s sense of values.

Fatal flawは登場人物それぞれにあると思います。小鳥は赤いバラのため、愛のために命を犠牲にしました。彼女と青年にはそのバラの美しさが分かりませんでした。そしてこのような価値観のずれが、この物語を悲しいものにさせた要因であると考えます。

3. Motif
The rose was expressed, it was dyed a small bird's heart blood is the reddest rose in all the world.

小鳥の心臓の血で染まったバラは、世界で一番赤いバラと表現されています。

III. General Opinion
I think if a boy noticed the existence of a small bird, he know a true love, also he didn't throwing a red rose away even he was rejected by her.

青年がもし、自分の命でバラを咲かせた小鳥の存在に気付いていたら、本当の愛に気付くことができていたし、彼女に振られてもそのバラを捨てることはなかったのにと思います。

The Important Things in Life

I. Summary

This story, as title all know,  is written The Important Things in Life. Although it is　a complicated theme on common, but the set is simple of  character is only to the teacher and students, the teacher talking about life in class, it is easy to read.  Also, I feel mystery that author is unknown, reaction of students in the last in this story.

この物語はタイトルの通り、人生において大切なことが書かれています。それは難しいテーマではありますが、登場人物は先生と生徒たち、人生について授業で語っているというシンプルな設定のためか、読みやすいです。また、作者が分かっていない所、最後生徒たちの反応を書かずに物語が終わっている所に神秘を感じます。

II. Reaction
1. Theme 

There are using many description  in this story, Life is compared to using a bottle, sand, a pebble etc .

物語では人生をボトル、砂、泥などを使って語っています。

2. Character
* A philosophy professor.  He is talk to important things in life is deciding the order of priority.

哲学者。 彼は人生において大切なことは優先順位を決めることだと語っています。
                   
* The students. 生徒たち。

 I think that　is not leading role in this story either. Because this story's theme is very cleary and only one. To expressed reading it beings the professor and students in this story.

私は哲学者と生徒たちのどちらも主人公ではないと思いました。なぜならこの物語の主題は非常に明確で、たったひとつだけだからです。主題を読者に伝えるために、哲学者と生徒たちが存在しているからです。

III. General Opinion
I can't understand his opinion, Deciding the order of priority in life is difficult.

私は筆者の意見に共感はしません。人生においての優先順位を決めることは難しいです。
